How to configure a Socket Bluetooth Cordless Hand Scanner CHS-7 series or CRS-9 series (wearable) scanner to work with a Symbol (Motorola) MC70 Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA) running Windows Mobile 5 and using the StoneStreet Bluetooth Stack.

The Connect!Agent Software will not work with the StoneStreet Bluetooth Stack, you will have to setup the device manually with the correct SocketScan cab file.

» Save the .CAB file to a known (folder) location on the MC70 and then tap the .CAB file to install SocketScan.

» Soft reboot the device.

» Click on BT icon and Enable BT.

» Click on "Show BTExplorer".

» Click on "Tools" and "Discover Devices".

» Select device found, CHS or CRS (Socket Serial Port icon should display).

» Exit out of BTExplorer by clicking OK.

» Run SocketScan.

» Click on SocketScan icon, select "Settings".

» Click on "CS" tab.

» Enable Cordless Scanner Support.

» Select Stack "Built in".

» Select port "COM 4".

» Click OK to exit settings.

» Click on SocketScan icon and select "Connect CS".

» Select device to connect (CHS or CRS).

» Click on Next.

» Click on Next again.

» Click on Connect.

» Your CHS or CRS is now connected to your device and you should see the product icon in place of the SocketScan icon.
